| This ambitious housing project was developed as a public-private partnership managed jointly by the City of Minneapolis and Hennepin County. Covering 15 inner-city blocks, the development creates more than 200 units of market-rate housing. The neighborhood surrounds a greenway redeveloped along Shingle Creek. After being competitively selected by community stakeholders, we studied the character of the houses and found the neighborhood identity was formed by the enjoyment of the out of doors in side porches and backyards. We responded by designing four models each of eight different house types including single family homes and townhomes. |
