Town Center Plan
| Mendota Heights, MN
|
| Working with a private developer, we conducted
research and design to establish a new 17-acre town center for this
first-ring suburb at the confluence of the Mississippi and Minnesota
Rivers. Our proposal serves public and private uses, included mixed
retail and commercial buildings, a variety of housing types, a transit
terminal, and a park connected to regional trails. Public support
for the development has grown after we discovered the site –
now a state-owned gravel pit – once included the town’s
original city hall. The second phase of the residential development
is underway. |
