Midtown Development Objectives | Minneapolis, MN
|
| The Midtown area of Minneapolis, with the Lake
Street-Midtown Greenway as its spine, is undergoing a major public
and private revitalization of its historic role as a regional crossroads.
The City of Minneapolis retained us to prepare a Small Area Plan to
guide sustainable redevelopment. We began with a forensic analysis
of land use in the corridor and, following on with a feasibility study,
proposed many enhancements, including re-opening Nicollet Avenue,
which is currently stopped at a vital point by an underperforming
big-box retail development. |
